The function of the moisturizer is to increase the moisture content in the outermost layer of the skin help maintain a regular skin condition. It normalizes the exfoliation cycle and alleviates the symptoms of dry skin with itching.

An emulsifying agent type moisturizer

If the product is opaque such as lotion or cream. If the viscosity is medium, you can think of it as lotion. The cream formulations have high oil content, it is effective to maintain moisturizing. So use cream in winter and use lotion in summer.

Ointment formulation moisturizer

If damage to the skin barrier it may occur that symptoms of skin problems or dryness due to exposed to external stimuli easily. If you use only normal moisturizers, if you have healthy skin, you may be able to recover easily from skin irritation symptoms.

The methods for healthy skin

In the case of sensitive skin, skin dry or the change of seasons, moisturizer is important factor. In recent years, interest is focused on restoring barrier function which is the most important function of the skin, rather that simply replenshing moisture.

Stratum corneum is consisits of keratin, fat, water. It is different thickness of the stratum corneum depending on the state the moisture content. If reduced of moisture the thickening of the keratin skin texture is rough and speeds ip skin aging.
Therefore, the moisturizer function of stratum corneum in the dry season is significantly affect the health. Cell membranes of keratinocytes contain about 50% ceramide.
So, most moisturizer included ceramide ingredient.

Ceramide?

Ceramide is a structure in which fatty acids are linked to sphingosine or phytosphingosine. It is maintain the role of ordered structure of lipid barrier and stratum corneum, it acts as an antibacterial barrier against external harmful microorganisms, and plays an important role in the regeneration of wound and control the inflammation.
Therefore, if decrease of ceramide content increases water evaporation and can be occur aged dry and itchy skin and causing skin elasticity reduce and wrinkles.

Sphingolipid?

Sphingolipid which is widely being used as  main moisturizing raw material in the cosmetics industry's, it has more than 300 kinds derivative including ceramide that a fatty linked form. It is a key role of the control growth, multiplication, differentiation of cells.

Phytospingosine? 

It has excellent antibacterial ability against various skin harmful microorganisms, and it has a strong antibacterial activity than antibiotics commonly used for staphylococci and acne bacteria that are commonly found in atopic dermatitis and has no risk of resistance.

The weather becomes cold wind and dry, people will be interested in use of moisturizer at first. In many case recognize that a moisturizing agent is lotion or cream formulation which is only in the moisture of the skin.

For sensitive skin, it is avoid excessive washing and products containing alcohol because it represent a sensitisely even mild irritant or touch. If skin became sensitive by irritating action of the skin it is recommended tat get a help through the mangement of sedation.
