Seasonal moisture management tips (By CNP SKIN LASER CLINIC YANGJAE, Dr. Park, Dr. Kwon, Dr. Kim)


In to the autumn, the temperature is going down the atmosphere will be dry, and decreases blood circulation, slowed the metabolism and will degrade the function of moisturizing the skin. Dry environment, it drop the moisture content of the skin to less than 10% with decreases a function of the skin, due to reduced sebum secretion which is needed for keep the moisture becoming more and more dry and rough. Healthy state of the skin is depending on the water content of the stratum corneum, the water management is the most important.  


Moisture management methods

1. maintain cleanliness
Frequent washing with alkaline cleanser, because it is removes sebum film of the skin and it makes the skin more dry and sensitive, it is recommended that use a slightly acid cleanser.

Oily skin, acne skin : cleansing foam, gel cleanser
Dry skin : cleansing oil, cleansing cream
Sensitive skin : cleansing cream, cleansing lotion


2. Water supply
When seasons change, the sebaceous gland secretion decreases by slowing metabolism of the skin, the skin is becoming dry and occur dead skin cells. Therefore it can keep enough moisture for healthy skin.

If severe keratin : use a deep cleansing with exfoliate agent and moisturizing lotions and cream
T-zone area : use natural moisturizing factor or moisturizing cream that water containing
U-zone :  use essence nutrition cream
Oily skin : use oil-free moisturizers

               (food : fresh vegetables, green leaf vegetables, fruits)


4. skin elasticity management
The skin when seasons change is looks bed of complexion and looks sagging. Therefore it can be improve skin through using the pack a concentrating supplied to moisture of the skin.

Comment about what not to do 
1. scrub
It can be makes the skin drying the skin rather because remove the horny layer and to sebum film due to excessive scrub. But oily skin such as acne skin, mild scrub is a moderate while 1~2 times a week because it may sebum secretion is not smooth or acne be worsen due to excessive dead skin.

2. sansuke
Natural moisturizing factor which is the connection between keratin, it is acts an important role that hydration and prevent water evaporation in skin. However, if remove sebum film and the horny layer by sansuke it can caused skin problem factors such as skin dryness, skin troubles and skin irritation of the skin. so it is recommended that avoid the strong sansuke.
